The one area that we focus on is Women’s Development. Women participate in Tourism in the entrepreneurial arena, through creation of self employment opportunities to generate income. At a community level, they create jobs by the sale of traditional art, crafts, and cuisine.
The stumbling blocks are:
- Pay gaps
- Equal access to recourses and opportunities
- Vulnerability to Violence
- Lack of self confidence
- Unstable family life
- Access to market
Five focus areas to developing the women are:
- Employment
- Entrepreneurship
- Leadership
- Community Support
- Education
Our project is to conduct an educational program that addresses these focus areas. We will select 10 rural young women in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, and through Mentorship and Entrepreneurial Educational Workshops, the women will be equipped to establish partnerships for economic benefit and participate in the global tourism industry. Their success will benefit their families and the communities.
The costs of the Mentorship course is 1,500 USD per person
